Generali Historical Archive Ina Assitalia Historical Archive News

This new section is a fascinating journey into Generali’s almost two-century-long past through the mediums of video, podcasts, infographics, posters, historical insets and artistic photographs of objects and documents from Generali’s cultural heritage. These combine to tell stories that demonstrate the values of innovation, the ability to react to challenges, connection, internationality and corporate responsibility, which have always been part of the Generali Group’s DNA.

The stories take various forms: from the audio lectures by the radio presenter Matteo Caccia, which brought to life the Generali Life Stories: Extraordinary Tales of Ordinary Lives project, to the videos of Generali 190: People and Stories and the historical insets drawn from the archives, to the summary infographics with their eye-catching style.

Twenty stories spanning twenty decades, from 1831 to 2021, each one a great adventure in pursuit of people, events and transformational moments in which Generali’s own journey intersected with the course of history.

And there’s more: animated cartoons which take historical posters and fine-art adverts to the screen and contemporary art posters that tell the tale of changing tastes and trends in society’s desires and ideals.

Through this lens, the This is Tomorrow project celebrates and revives Generali’s tradition of collaboration with renowned illustrators and artists to tell the story of society and offer an interpretation of changing times through poster art.
