In 1940 and 1941, Generali sponsored the Campionato del Mare, a famous rowing competition taking place in Venice. These events and the Company’s support were announced by posters created by Giuseppe Rosa Salva, a renowned Venetian interior designer.

In addition to supporting the athletes, Generali offered to house the competing boats at the shipyard of its own sailing club.
