Pollione Sigon, 1932

Pollione Sigon spent his career as the top graphic designer for Modiano in Trieste, a world-leading paper manufacturer producing playing cards, and was rightly considered the best cartoonist working in Trieste.

In the thirties he designed posters, calendars and other promotional material for Generali, such as the wall calendar created for the Company’s 100th anniversary.

The composition depicts Generali’s biggest real estate investments in Italy and abroad, against a backdrop of the hill of San Giusto in Trieste seen from the seafront.
