Achille Beltrame, 1916

As was customary, Generali produced other forms of advertising in addition to posters, such as wall and desk calendars, used since the end of the nineteenth century and sometimes illustrated by great artists.

This was the case with the calendars of subsidiary company Anonima Grandine, established in 1890. Between the Great War and the early thirties, these were almost all illustrated by the talented hand of Achille Beltrame, renowned for his numerous illustrations for the Italian newspaper Domenica del Corriere.
