The 2011 catalogue entitled La macchina dello Stato: leggi, uomini e strutture che hanno fatto l’Italia (The State Machine: Laws, men and structures that have made Italy) for the exhibition held in Rome (22 September 2011 – 13 March 2012) at the Archivio Centrale dello Stato, on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the Unification of Italy. It deals with the history of the state machine and its administrative structures. The volume recounts the exhibition with leading figures and development through historical segments illustrated by specific themes. Assicurazioni Generali, together with the INA-Assitalia Historical Archive, also contributed, providing support and documentary material in retracing the story of the birth of the Istituto Nazionale delle Assicurazioni in the L’INA ed il Monopolio delle Assicurazioni sulla vita (INA and the Life Insurance Monopoly) section.
